Is an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment required for all road projects in Kenya?

Yes. Kenya's Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA) and NEMA regulations say any road project with significant environmental or social impacts needs an ESIA licence before construction starts. Our NEMA-licensed Lead EIA Expert handles the whole process — scoping, public participation, final NEMA approval — so you stay legal and avoid costly delays.

How long does a feasibility study and engineering design take for a typical access road?

For a typical access road under 5 km, expect 8–12 weeks. That covers topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, drainage and pavement design, drawings, BoQs, and tender documents. Tougher terrain or extra regulatory steps can take longer. We give you a clear schedule at the start.

Can Strasan Group handle road projects outside Kenya?
